Hon. Baba Jamal Supports Reconstruction of 37 Military Hospital with Donation of Treated Teak Poles

37 Military Hospital, Tuesday, 28th July 2026 – The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Hon. Baba Jamal M.A., Esq., has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure by donating five (5) treated teak poles to support the ongoing reconstruction works at the 37 Military Hospital. The reconstruction project was initiated following the fire outbreak that affected sections of the hospital on 25th April 2026. The works are aimed at restoring the damaged infrastructure to ensure the continued provision of quality healthcare services to military personnel, their families and the general public. The donation was officially received by the Hospital Commander, Brigadier General Richard Lassey Mensah, and the Acting Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Alex Abiti, who expressed appreciation for the Member of Parliament's timely intervention and continued support for the hospital. During the presentation, Hon. Baba Jamal reiterated his commitment to supporting key public institutions within Ayawaso East, stressing that quality healthcare infrastructure remains essential to the well-being of the people. He assured the hospital management that his office would continue to collaborate with the institution to address some of its pressing needs. As part of this commitment, the Member of Parliament announced that six (6) streetlights would be provided within the next few days to improve lighting and enhance safety around sections of the hospital. Receiving the donation on behalf of the hospital, Brigadier General Richard Lassey Mensah expressed his sincere appreciation to Hon. Baba Jamal for his continued support and commitment to the reconstruction efforts.
